What to bring with you for the assembly and how to find ROD

What to bring:
+ The temperature outside can be up to -5° daytime and up to –12° at night.
+ Very warm sleeping bag (or two if you can) and sleeping mats.
+ Good waterproof shoes.
+ Clothes for snowy/wet/icy weather: warm socks, jumpers, jacket, hat, gloves, thermals…
+ There is no electric light in the sleeping houses so flashlights and head torches, are needed.

Sleeping places: There are sleeping places in small wooden houses (4-10 people per house) with an oven and basic insulation. There are sleeping places on the ground, raised beds, and bunks. If you have specifc requirements (e.g. sharing spaces) please let us know.
There is space to camp if you have a good tent and warm sleeping bags!
There is parking space for vans and cars in front of ROD.

Electricity – we have some solar panels but as it is winter we have very little power. The current is only enough to light the kitchen and day house. It will be difficult to charge mobile phones and private computers. We will ask some friends nearby if things can be charged there.

Internet access is the same. We have slow mobile Internet for one computer. There is no wi-fi. (There are Internet cafes nearby)

Shower: To shower we heat the water in a pot or visit other places in the city centre.
Shops: There are supermarkets and shops near ROD – just remember to exchange currency ( to Zloty at “Kantor”).

By public transport:
How to get to the ROD using public transport from the places where trains and International buses arrive.
1. From Metro Młociny station – M1 subway to Pole Mokotowskie station then 167 bus
(direction Siekierki Sanktuarium) to Budexpo bus stop.
2 .From Metro Wilanowska station – 108 bus (direction Pl. Trzech Krzyży) to Budexpo bus stop.
3. From Central Railway station (Centralna) – 127 bus to Pl. Trzech Krzyży then from Pl. Trzech Krzyży 06 take 108 bus (direction Metro Wilanowska) to Budexpo bus stop.
4. From West Railway station (Zachodnia)– 187 bus to Szwoleżerów bus stop then 108 bus from Szwoleżerów to Budexpo bus stop.

By Car:
From National Road 2 (“Droga krajowa Nr 2”) which goes through Warsaw. Take exit onto Antoniewska Street (see map 2). Turn left (driving north) onto Polska street, continue north onto Gosciniec street, then left onto Bartycka street (see map 1 and map 2). ROD is on the right.
You can reach National Road 2 from Expressway S2 (“Droga ekspresowa S2”). The S2 connects with main motorways from all directions.
